🌈 In case you’re feeling the strain of the world, the way capitalism scrapes against the soul while making art for kids, this is for you:

Pointless Joy! SCBWI, June 5, 2025

White text on green background with wavy white border: "Capitalism devalues the most important things we have lived, felt, and expressed in our art. I needed to learn that what we are 'for' is life. Connection. We are 'for' joy."

🎨 This post is dedicated to my friend Heather @heathersowordy for starting it all with her art and kindness, and to Brandi @brandidoyle81 for being there, too! I love you, neighbors! It’s also dedicated to everyone creating joy in hard times.

White text and frame with gree background: "Joy reminds me of what is ture, that what matters is us. Joy is the point. C.S. Wild"
